1. MARGARITA SALAS GRANTS FOR THE TRAINING OF YOUNG DOCTORS
Purpose:
The object of these grants is the training of young doctors by training stays in a Spanish public university or in foreign universities or research centres, as well as in Spanish public research organisations, provided that the last year the stay is in a Spanish public university selected by the applicant.
Duration:
These grants can have a duration of two or three years and must be for full years. The starting date must be the first day of the month in which the stay begins.
Requirements:
a.Hold a doctoral degree from the UIB. The initial incorporation must be requested at a university or public research centre other than the UIB. Those who have obtained a doctoral degree from a private university and wish to carry out the postdoctoral stay or the last year of the grant at the UIB may also apply for this grant.
b. A maximum of two years must have elapsed between the date of obtaining the doctoral degree and the closing date for applications (6 September 2021, inclusive). However, the two-year period will be extended when any of the situations listed in Annex II 1.y) of the Royal Decree occurs.
c. In case the grant is requested for stays in universities or research centres located abroad, or in Spanish public research centres, the last year of the grant must be carried out in a Spanish public university, selected by the candidate, including the UIB.
Documentation to be submitted, in Spanish, Catalan or English:
a. Abbreviated curriculum vitae (FECYT CVA) of the candidate.
b. Copy of DNI/passport/NIE.
c. Copy of the doctoral degree or similar document showing the date on which the degree was obtained. d. Scientific and technical background of the receiving group(s). At the UIB, the receiving group must be a research group recognized in the catalogue of research groups.
e. Memorandum justifying the impact of this stay on the progress of the teaching and research career of the person making the application (Annex 1).
f. Document issued by the host institution(s) in which they accept the stay of the person making the application at this institution and during the period requested and give their agreement. This document, issued on official stationery of the centre and duly signed, must be in Catalan, Spanish or English, or, if not, be accompanied by the corresponding translation into one of these languages.
2. GRANTS FOR THE REQUALIFICATION OF CIVIL SERVANT OR CONTRACTED UNIVERSITY LECTURERS
Purpose:
The purpose of these grants is the requalification of full university lecturers, permanent doctoral contract lecturers and doctoral assistant lecturers at the UIB by training stays at a university or public research centre other than the UIB.
Duration:
These grants must have the following duration:
a. Permanent lecturers: one, two or three full years.
b. Assistant lecturers: one or two full years.
The stay must fall within the period of validity of the contract with the UIB at the time the call for applications closes. Assistant lecturers with doctoral degrees will maintain their reserved place at the UIB, without loss of seniority, for the duration of the training stay financed with these grants.
Requirements:
a. Be in active service at the UIB as a full university lecturer, permanent doctoral assistant lecturer or doctoral assistant lecturer.
b. Apply for incorporation at a university or public research centre other than the UIB.
c. Full university lecturers and contracted doctoral lecturers must not have more than ten years of service in their current category.
Documentation to be submitted, in Spanish, Catalan or English:
a. Abbreviated curriculum vitae (FECYT CVA) of the candidate. The CVA curriculum vitae available at the GREC will be taken as a matter of course, unless otherwise stated in the application. In this case, the applicant must provide it.
b. Scientific and technical background of the recipient group(s).
c. Memorandum justifying the impact on teaching, research and knowledge transfer that this stay will have on the candidate and his/her UIB research group (Annex 3). Document issued by the receiving centre(s) in which they accept the stay of the person making the application at this centre and during the period requested and give their agreement. This document, issued on official letterhead of the centre and duly signed, must be in Catalan, Spanish or English, or, if not, be accompanied by the corresponding translation into one of these languages.
3. MAR═A ZAMBRANO GRANTS FOR THE ATTRACTION OF INTERNATIONAL TALENT
Purpose:
These grants are aimed at teaching and research staff, of Spanish nationality or from another country, with an accumulated postdoctoral career of no less than twenty-four months in Spanish universities or research centres or located outside Spain other than that of the defence of the doctoral thesis who wish to make a stay at the UIB.
Duration:
These grants may have a duration of one, two or three full years.
Requirements:
a. Teaching and research staff, of Spanish nationality or from another country, with an accumulated postdoctoral career of no less than twenty-four months in Spanish universities or research centres or located outside Spain other than that of the defence of the doctoral thesis.
b. At the time of submitting the application, carrying out research projects at universities or research centres outside Spain.
c. Justification of the impact of their incorporation in the requalification of the host research group at the UIB.
